WHY FOUR WHEELS
Four wheels create the geometry figure skating needs.
An ice blade has three balance zones. Three wheels give two. Four wheels give three.
Three wheels pivot
The skater tips between front and rear.
Four wheels create a center
Two middle wheels form a stable skating zone.
Support continues behind the boot
The frame feels more familiar to an ice skater.

DIRECT COMPARISON
Three wheels, four wheels and an ice blade.
The ice blade and four-wheel frame both support front, center and rear balance zones.

- Center uses the two middle wheels

WHEEL SPACING
Close contact points make turning easier.
EDGE uses wheel diameters matched to each frame size so the spacing remains close and consistent.
- Smaller frames use smaller wheels
- Larger frames use larger wheels
- Contact points remain close
- Less lifting is needed through turns

Change the position of every wheel.
Four independently adjustable rocker axles let you change the rocker profile across the complete frame.

THREE STARTING CONFIGURATIONS
Flat. Regular. Defined.
FLAT
All four wheels on the floor.
More wheel contact for stability and faster directional skating.
REGULAR
General figure skating.
The standard starting point for jumps, spins, edges and turns.
DEFINED
More maneuverability.
More movement for turns, edges, slalom-style movement and pick-free skating.
GO DEEPER Rocker axle settings and variations
FLAT
Outer wheels lower. Center wheels higher.
This places all four wheels on the skating surface.
REGULAR
All four rocker axles face the same way.
This creates the regular EDGE rocker profile.
DEFINED
Outer wheels higher. Center wheels lower.
This creates a more defined rocker and greater maneuverability.
REAR BIAS
Three rocker axles down. Rear rocker axle up.
Adam uses this variation for more maneuverability through backward turns.

DUAL DUROMETER
One wheel. Two compounds.
Each EDGE wheel is one wheel made with two durometers. The outer compound meets the skating surface. The inner compound supports the wheel.

SETUP GUIDE How to change the wheels
Loosen the rocker axle
Remove the wheel
Align the replacement wheel
Reinsert and tighten the rocker axle
Wheel-change tips
Loosen the nearby screws
When changing either of the two front wheels, loosen the nearby screws first.
Check the aluminum spacer
If the rocker axle does not slide through easily, the spacer inside the wheel may have shifted slightly.
Realign it with the tool
Insert the tool through the center and move the spacer back into alignment.
Tighten before skating
Tighten the rocker axles and nearby screws before skating. Loose hardware may begin to rattle.

EDGE PICKS
Front contact matched to the frame.
EDGE picks are matched to frame size and can be adjusted as they wear.
NOTE
This video uses the earlier name stopper. The component is now called the EDGE pick.

Matched to the larger EDGE frame sizes.

SETUP GUIDE How to remove and adjust the EDGE pick
Loosen the side screw using the tool provided
Unscrew and remove the EDGE pick
Screw the replacement EDGE pick into position
Set the preferred height
Tighten the side screw using the tool provided
CHECK BOTH FRAMES
Adjust the left and right EDGE picks to the same position before skating.
Adjust the pick. Keep the contact familiar.

PICK-FREE SKATING
Skate with or without a pick.
Remove the EDGE pick and replace it with an EDGE Plug.
EDGE PICK
Front contact when you want it.
Use the EDGE pick for skating that relies on front contact.
EDGE PLUG
Pick-free skating.
Replace the pick with an EDGE Plug when you want to skate without pick contact.

Remove the rocker axle, replace the wheel, align the aluminum spacer and tighten everything before skating.
