WHY FOUR WHEELS
An ice blade has three balance zones. Three wheels give two. Four wheels give three.
The skater tips between front and rear.
Two middle wheels form a stable skating zone.
The frame feels more familiar to an ice skater.
DIRECT COMPARISON
The ice blade and four-wheel frame both support front, center and rear balance zones.
WHEEL SPACING
EDGE uses wheel diameters matched to each frame size so the spacing remains close and consistent.
Four wheels create three balance zones. Close spacing makes them usable.
ADJUSTABLE ROCKER AXLES
Adjust each rocker axle to move the wheel higher or lower in the frame.
Loosen one side.
Rotate the other side to change the rocker axle position.
Tighten it again.
THREE STARTING CONFIGURATIONS
FLAT
More wheel contact for stability and faster directional skating.
REGULAR
The standard starting point for jumps, spins, edges and turns.
DEFINED
More movement for turns, edges, slalom-style movement and pick-free skating.
FLAT
This places all four wheels on the skating surface.
REGULAR
This creates the regular EDGE setup.
DEFINED
This creates a more defined setup and greater maneuverability.
REAR BIAS
Adam uses this variation for more maneuverability through backward turns.

INDOOR AND OUTDOOR WHEELS
Blue for indoor skating. White for outdoor skating. Both included.
Dual-durometer construction
Each EDGE wheel is one wheel made with two durometers. The outer compound meets the skating surface. The inner compound supports the wheel.
BLUE
Softer on the outside for grip and edge feel. Firmer on the inside for support and rebound.
WHITE
Harder on the outside for outdoor durability. Softer on the inside to preserve feel and rebound.
Eight blue indoor wheels and eight white outdoor wheels are included with every complete EDGE system.
Bearings and spacers are already installed in every wheel, so changing between sets is quick.

When changing either of the two front wheels, loosen the nearby screws first.
Loosen the rocker axle
Remove the wheel
Align the replacement wheel
Reinsert and tighten the rocker axle
If the rocker axle does not slide through easily, the spacer inside the wheel may have shifted slightly.
Insert the tool through the center and move the spacer back into alignment.
Tighten the rocker axles and nearby screws before skating. Loose hardware may begin to rattle.
EDGE PICKS
Big enough for jumps and spins. Small enough to stay out of the way on deep edges, turns and crossovers.
2 sets of EDGE picks matched to frame size are included with every complete EDGE system.

WHERE THE PICK MEETS THE FLOOR
On the two center wheels there is more room before the pick reaches the surface.
Move onto the front two wheels and the pick makes contact earlier.
MATERIAL
A grippier compound helps jump takeoffs and fights you on spins. A slippier compound spins well and lets go on jumps. No compound is perfect on every surface, so the EDGE pick material is set for the surfaces inline figure skating belongs on: smooth hardwood and polished concrete.
Adjust the pick. Keep the contact familiar.
Press hard and you stop. Press as lightly as possible and you spin faster. This is the single best spinning tip Adam has been given, from a former world champion.
Skate backwards on two feet, come onto the pick and travel as far as you can.
The same drill on one foot. Now you are learning the balance as well as the pressure.
The same drill on the left foot on an inside edge, which is the position an upright spin actually uses.
WHY IT WORKS THIS WAY
Wheels roll forward and backward, not sideways. An upright spin is a series of very small back loops, so you travel in a tight circle rather than turning on the spot. That is why you stay slightly over rather than completely upright.

Tighten the side screw using the tool provided
AS THE PICK WEARS
Reset the height to restore the front contact you had. Adjust the left and right EDGE picks to the same position before skating.
PICK-FREE SKATING
Replace the EDGE pick with an EDGE plug whenever you want a completely pick-free setup.
INCLUDED
Two EDGE plugs are included with every complete EDGE system.

TWO WAYS TO SKATE
EDGE PICK
Use the EDGE pick for spins, pick-assisted jump takeoffs and movements that rely on front contact.
EDGE PLUG
Remove pick contact for edge work, turns, teaching and skating that does not require jumps or spins.
Without a pick to push against, the skater must stay on the wheels and create power through the skating edge.
Pick-free skating encourages the skater to remain supported through the center zone during edges, turns and connected movement.
Removing the pick creates more freedom when moving onto the front wheels during deep edges and turns.
Skaters can use more movement through the front of the frame without the risk of catching the pick.

HONEST COMPARISON
EDGE exists because of the systems that came before it. These are the design differences, shown rather than claimed.
BUILT-IN SPACERS
Most systems use loose spacers that sit inside the wheel and fall out with it. EDGE builds the spacers into the frame.
ONE TOOL
A loose-spacer axle needs a tool on each side at the same time. A rocker axle releases from one side.
ADJUSTABLE PICK
A fixed pick sits lower as it wears, so you reach higher and your balance into loops and choctaws changes. An EDGE pick resets to where you set it.
ADJUSTABLE ROCKER AXLES
A fixed setup is whatever the frame was built with. Every EDGE wheel raises and lowers independently, so one frame can be flat, regular, front bias or rear bias.

LOOSE-SPACER SYSTEMS
Frame, wheel, axle, two screws and two spacers. Two more pieces to line up, and two more to lose on the floor.
Fitted in every wheel, indoor and outdoor, with spacers already installed.
Three mounting positions at the heel widen the range of boot sizes a single frame fits. For a growing skater that can mean a new boot without a new frame.
Two complete dual durometer wheel sets ship with every EDGE system rather than being bought separately.
The EDGE pick comes out entirely and an EDGE plug goes in its place. Nothing to push against, which is the habit most inline skaters do not know they have.
WHERE THIS CAME FROM
Nicolas Perna and the skaters around him built this category decades ago. Adam skated on those systems for years and is here because of them.
