Why four wheels

Three balance zones, like an ice blade.

Four wheels create front, center and rear balance zones, giving figure skaters a stable center skating zone rather than one central pivot.

3 wheels 2 zones
4 wheels 3 zones

Before you skate Boot compatibility and mounting

EDGE mounts to compatible figure skating boots. Compatibility depends on the length, shape and available mounting area of the boot sole.

Professional mounting is recommended because frame position affects balance, edge control and how the skate feels beneath the foot.

Unsure whether your boots are compatible?

Send photographs of the soles and sides of both boots, together with the sole length in millimeters. We will check them before you order.

Choose correctly Frame sizing

Choose EDGE using the physical sole length of your figure skating boot in millimeters, not your shoe size.

Boot sole Frame Wheels
210–229 mm 210 mm 59 mm
230–249 mm 230 mm 64 mm
250–269 mm 250 mm 68 mm
270–289 mm 270 mm 72 mm
290–310 mm 290 mm 72 mm

Between sizes, choose the shorter frame. Never deliberately select a frame that is longer than the current boot sole.

Front setup EDGE Picks and Plugs

Every EDGE system includes two sets of picks matched to the selected frame size.

  • 210 mm and 230 mm: supplied with the smaller pick size
  • 250 mm, 270 mm and 290 mm: supplied with the regular pick size

EDGE Plugs replace the front pick for a pick-free setup. They are intended for dance-focused skating, edge work and exploring the frame without front-pick contact.

I couldn't be happier with this purchase! This is everything I was hoping for in outdoors/inline blades. Having a rocker is awesome and as soon as I put them on, all my jumps and skills transferred. The blades are very lightweight and sturdy at the same time. The package is also super cool! You get two different sets of wheel (indoors/outdoors), all the tools you need to replace the wheels, toe pick and screws! 10/10

Thank you, Bruno. Really appreciate this.

I love hearing that your jumps and skills transferred straight across when you first put EDGE on. That connection between ice and inline figure skating is exactly what I wanted EDGE to create.

Have fun skating, and thank you for being part of what I am building.

Walter Afalla-Retired figure skating coach and lifelong skater

OneBlades Edge is one of the strongest off‑ice training tools available for figure skaters because it closely replicates the feeling of real blade edges. Its curved chassis allows skaters to practice balance, posture, and edge control in a way that traditional inline skates simply can’t match. This makes it an ideal system for reinforcing technique between rink sessions, helping skaters maintain muscle memory and confidence even when they’re away from the ice.

It also complements on‑ice training beautifully. Cold rinks often limit warm‑up time and make repetition difficult, but OneBlades Edge gives skaters the freedom to drill turns, footwork, and entry edges anywhere. By shifting foundational practice off‑ice, skaters can use their paid ice time more efficiently for jumps, spins, and choreography. The system supports better alignment, stronger edges, and more consistent training habits that translate directly back to the rink.

In today’s high‑cost skating environment, OneBlades Edge is economically smart. Ice time is expensive, and this system allows skaters to extend their training without constantly paying for additional sessions. It’s a one‑time investment that adds flexibility, portability, and value to any training routine. While it should never replace on‑ice practice, it’s one of the best ways to enhance and support your skating development off the ice.

I highly recommend this inline figure skating system to anyone- young, old, competitive, non-competitive, retired, professional, amateur, etc. Give it a try.

Thank you, Walter. I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a thoughtful review.

What you said about being able to continue working on technique, muscle memory, and confidence away from the rink gets right to the heart of why I believe inline figure skating can be so valuable.

Ice time will always matter. The opportunity is to give skaters another place to learn, train, and simply enjoy skating when they cannot get to the rink.

Thank you for supporting EDGE and for sharing your perspective as a coach.

I am an ice skating beginner who just started from beginning of 2024. I can only stake in a short period in the winter as the public ice rink only opens at that time. I dont process much so I started to search for ice skate substitute from beginning of this year. There were only a few options in the market and none of them really is my ideal skates. I wanted a four wheels with a proper stopper. I was hesitated for 2 months and was almost going to buy one of them. But I found EDGE by chance in April. It was like my dream came true! It is exactly what i wanted! 4 wheels and a proper stopper! And they are so pretty, it took me long time to decide the colour! It was really a long time for me to wait for the release. I made the order on the release day. After only a short of time, I have got used to it. The feeling of these skates really like on ice. I am so happy that I found them. Also they are gorgeous 🥰

Thank you, Jacob. Reading that means a lot. We spent a long time trying to create something that feels as natural as possible for figure skaters, so hearing that you feel at home on them makes all the work worthwhile. I’m glad you’re enjoying them.

Best frames I ever skated on so far!

I’ve been skating on inlines for about 3 years now and I’ve tried multiple frames before. Whether it’ll be Roll Line, Q Skate, Snow white, Jackson, or Pic skate. Most of them doesn’t feel like skating on ice. Pic skate is probably the closest but I had the Roll Line 3 wheel set up, which mean the balance is a bit off when doing turns. I felt like I’m going to slide and hit my head so many times!

These frames have the same balance zones like ice blades and it made me feel very stable! I also feel so much more comfortable and confident with my skating because of them! They are also very light and the wheels are super smooth!

Highly recommend for anyone who’s looking to get a good pair of high quality inline frames/system!

Thank you, James. You’ve tried almost every major system on the market, so your perspective carries a lot of weight. Stability, confidence and a more natural balance were some of our biggest priorities when designing EDGE, so it’s great to hear that coming through in your skating.

Absolutely love my One Blades Edge skates! The quality is outstanding, and you can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. The modern design looks absolutely epic, and the color combinations are beyond fire!

They're incredibly comfortable to skate in, and my favorite part is how everything you need comes in one box. With just one click, you have all the essential tools and accessories ready to go—no need to buy anything separately. It makes the whole experience so easy and convenient.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for premium quality, amazing style, and a complete setup!

Thank you, Alexandra. We wanted to create a complete system rather than simply a frame, so hearing that you appreciate the details, the design and the experience means a lot coming from you. Now it’s time to keep skating, coaching and creating!!

The EDGE system is the first inline skate frame I've ever tried. As a quad skate gear head, I wanted something that offered customizability and ease of swapping components. The ONE Blades EDGE fit the bill. The fact that it was a full system too, including wheels and bearings, was a huge plus for me.

While I haven't been able to skate on the as much as I'd like yet, the times I've been on these frames felt like I was gliding on a cloud. The duo durometer wheels are something I wish were available on quad skates!

I'm very happy with my purchase. Now I just need to get out there and skate.

Thank you. Coming from someone who knows equipment as well as you do, that means a lot. The ability to customise the setup and swap components easily was an important part of the vision from the beginning. We might have to work on those quad wheels next.

I'm fascinated by the skates I bought. I tried 3-wheel frames before, but to be honest, I never really felt that stability under my feet.
With these, I could really feel the difference from the very first time I skated.

And I'm grateful that you can swap out the indoor and outdoor wheels depending on your needs.

Thank you, Ulises. One of our goals was to create a system that felt stable and familiar from the very first session, so I’m really pleased to hear that was your experience. I hope you continue enjoying both wheel setups.

I have skated on a lot of different setups over the years, both on ice and inline, and in my opinion ONE Blades are the best inline figure frames on the market right now.

What makes them stand out is not just that they feel close to ice, but that the design actually makes sense from a skater’s point of view. The four-wheel setup gives a much more natural balance under the foot, and the ability to adjust the rocker and fine-tune the height of each wheel is a massive step forward. That level of control means the frame can be adapted to the skater, rather than forcing the skater to adapt to the frame.

For me, the biggest difference is the ice-like feeling through edges, turns, transitions, and general balance. It does not feel like a regular inline frame trying to imitate figure skating. It feels like something designed by someone who truly understands the relationship between blade geometry, rocker, pressure, and technique.

I have known Adam, the creator of ONE Blades, for many years. We worked together in professional shows, and I have always trusted his knowledge and his understanding of both ice and inline skating. He has lived the evolution of inline figure skating from the inside, not just as a designer, but as a professional skater and performer.

I previously worked with Cirque du Soleil at Sea, and moving from ice into inline performance was a really refreshing and exciting experience. Inline shows have their own energy, and I am genuinely proud of Adam for pushing the equipment forward in a way that makes professional inline figure skating feel more serious, more technical, and more connected to ice.

I am excited to see where ONE Blades goes, and I am excited to work in professional inline shows again with equipment that finally feels like it has caught up with what skaters actually need.

Thank you, Dean. Your experience across so many different systems makes this especially meaningful. The goal was never simply to imitate ice, but to build a system specifically for figure skaters and give them more control over the way they skate. Thank you for trusting us and for being part of the journey.

Been figure skating for 21 years, and this is so transferrable both ways, plus its more interesting when you to a skate park.

Thank you, Ray. It’s been exciting watching experienced skaters discover entirely new possibilities on these frames. I think there is still a lot left to explore.

As a figure skater I’ve tried other inlines before and these are definitely the closest to ice! I’m obsessed.

Thank you, Bethany. Hearing that from an experienced figure skater means a great deal. We hope you continue enjoying every session.

One Blades, I had gotten these because I had a spare set of skate boots after I had upgraded my ice skates. And in order to get some additional practice I figured these would be a good purchase.

When I initially got them I had to mount the frames to my old boots and I had never done any blade mounting or roller skating prior to this so I struggled a bit as I had mounted them to far back initially. However after playing with the exact position of the frames on my boot and the wheel configuration I have a fairly stable setup now. I know there are some videos on how to mount the frames on youtube but a little instruction book/card with tips on how to do this for beginners would have been nice.

II have only been able to use these a couple times a week but so far I am enjoying them I think it helps with keeping the rust off in between ice time. They definitely are different but not by a huge margin. With my limited experience on these inline figure skates I would say the biggest difference is the wheel thickness which makes the "edges " feel less pronounced. Its also best I think to try and find a good smooth surface to skate on as when I first played with these I tried just skating on asphalt and that was very difficult and bumpy.

Overall, I think I need a little more time with these before I'm totally comfortable with them, As I have only ever ice skated up to this point and all my muscle memory leans towards the more aggressive edges that you can get with such a thin blade.

Thanks for the detailed review. I really appreciate the feedback.

Just to clarify one point that may also help other skaters reading this. The card included with your EDGE had a QR code taking you to the ONE Blades app, where the full mounting and setup guidance was available.

I have since rebuilt this, so the QR code now takes skaters directly to the dedicated setup page on oneblades.one, with the mounting video and everything needed to get EDGE set up correctly.

Mounting position makes a real difference to how EDGE feels, especially when coming from ice, so I would definitely recommend checking the setup guidance if you haven’t already.

You also have access to ONE Academy, where you’ll find lessons and coaching resources designed to help with the transition to inline figure skating and developing your skating on EDGE. https://oneblades.one/pages/academy

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. I hope the resources help as you spend more time on them.

The seamless transition IS REAL!

I have ice skated for 12 years all as a mature adult. I was concerned going from blades to inline skating would prove tricky, but to my great pleasure OneBlades feel identical to my John Willson Coronation Ace blades.

Thank you OneBlades for making every flat horizontal surface a potential skating practice space.

Thank you, Katia. Hearing that the transition from ice felt so natural means a lot. Creating an experience that feels familiar to lifelong figure skaters was one of our biggest goals from the very beginning. Knowing that EDGE feels at home alongside your Coronation Ace blades is wonderful to hear. Thank you for trusting us with your training.
