World Firsts
Inline figure skating has never had a serious record book. ONE Blades Records is building one.
Every verified World First and World Record performed on EDGE is permanently documented at onebladesrecords.one. Nothing is lost in social media feeds. Nothing disappears into archives. The skaters pushing the sport forward are recorded, recognised, and rewarded.
The three categories of World Firsts
Milestone World Firsts. Three crown elements that can each only be claimed once in the lifetime of the sport. First Triple Axel, First Quad Jump, and First Quad Throw on EDGE. $1,000 cash plus a tier bump on the Creator Program. Pair Milestones split the cash equally. Both names are attached to the record forever.
Standard World Firsts. Recognised figure skating elements performed on EDGE for the first time. Every jump, every spin, every turn, every pair element in the figure skating catalogue is available until someone claims it first. Each verified Standard World First earns a tier bump on the Creator Program, up to your career cap of two tier bumps from World Firsts.
True World Firsts. Brand new elements that have never been performed in figure skating on any surface, by anyone. Unlimited claims. You can keep inventing new elements for the rest of your skating career. Each one becomes part of skating history with your name permanently attached.
The two bump rule
Every skater has a career cap of two tier bumps from World Firsts on the Creator Program. Your first two verified World Firsts, in any combination of Standard, True, or Milestone, each move you up one tier. After that, every additional World First still earns Hall of Fame entry, an official certificate, permanent recognition on @onebladesrecords Instagram, and cash if it is a Milestone.
The two bump rule keeps the ladder honest. Your first two claims are a real head start. Everything beyond that is about legacy.
ONE Blades World Records
Separate from World Firsts. World Records track quantifiable achievements on EDGE that can be measured and broken over time. Most rotations in a single spin. Longest sustained spin. Most consecutive jumps without falling. Longest continuous footwork sequence.
Records are verified, documented, and can be challenged and beaten. Unlike a World First, a Record belongs to whoever holds it until the next skater takes it.
Every verified submission includes
- Hall of Fame entry on ONE Blades Records
- Permanent feature on @onebladesrecords Instagram
- Official ONE Blades Records certificate delivered by email
- Tier bump on the Creator Program (first two World Firsts only)
- Cash reward (Milestones only)
